From a childhood passion to a dream come true.
Cocopots Bakers & Café began with a simple love for baking.
When I (Ritika Gupta - Owner/Founder) was in the 10th standard, I could spend hours watching baking videos on YouTube, sometimes staying up until one or two in the morning. I was especially inspired by Nigella Lawson and the way she made cooking and baking feel so enjoyable and magical. I didn’t know it at the time, but that fascination would eventually become the beginning of Cocopots Bakers & Café.
In 2015, I started as a home baker, baking cakes from my own kitchen and selling them to customers. For the next three years, I spent my time learning, experimenting and turning my passion into something more meaningful. I also decided to train professionally, completing a Baking and Pastry course at CCDS Oakland and later two years of professional culinary and pastry training at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York.
Then, in 2019, Cocopots Bakers & Café opened its doors in Kamla Nagar, Delhi.
For me, Cocopots was never meant to be just a bakery. I wanted to create an experience—a place filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, conversations, laughter, celebrations and little everyday moments. I dreamed of a live bakery where people, especially children, could see the magic of baking happen right in front of them.
Even the name Cocopots has a special story. Inspired by the chocolate pots I watched Nigella Lawson make as a child, I once thought that if I ever had my own bakery, I would call it Cocopots Bakers & Café. Years later, that childhood idea became a reality.
What started with cakes and cake pops from my home kitchen has grown into a bakery and café with a wider menu, a growing team, workshops, content creation and bigger dreams for the future.
Through this journey, one thing has never changed: our commitment to quality, taste, hygiene and honesty. We constantly experiment with new flavours and ideas, but we never want to lose the personal touch behind our food.
For me, Cocopots Bakers & Café is much more than a business. It is a reflection of years of hard work, learning, challenges and dreams. It is proof that you can start small, keep learning and build something of your own.
Today, our dream is to take Cocopots beyond Kamla Nagar and build a recognised Indian bakery and café brand, with a strong identity and a presence across India and eventually internationally.
Cocopots is a manifestation that became reality—an example of how dreams can come true when you have the courage to pursue them.
